Be not afraid of the Lard! Studies have found that it is actually much healthier to cook with lard than some kinds of cookings oils. Lard is even known to have much less saturated fats than butter.
Health benefits aside, the crispiness associated with favourites like fried chicken, can only be achieved if you cook with lard.
We make our lard using back fat and other deposits. Use it in just about every cooking process; but most importantly frying. It is healthier to fry using lard than most commercially available cooking oils.
